Corporate Headquarters Environmental Design
A growing healthcare company was building out their brand new 50,000 square foot Florida headquarters and had a unique opportunity to create an environment that would authentically embody their innovative culture from day one. Leadership wanted the space to reflect their mission and values while inspiring both employees and visitors—going beyond functional signage to create a comprehensive branded experience that would foster engagement, retention and morale.
The design approach, "Mission Made Visible," integrates multiple environmental elements into a cohesive cultural ecosystem. The award-winning wayfinding system weaves company values into helpful navigation while creating meaningful moments of connection throughout the space. Conference rooms were named after fictional doctors—Doogie Howser, MD, Dr. Evil, Dr. Frankenstein, Dr. House and Marcus Welby, MD, to name a few—adding personality and humor that reflects the company's creative culture. This office design earned an American Health + Wellness Design Award from Graphic Design USA (GDUSA).
The "Achievement Amplified" employee recognition system uses a modular hexagonal wall where individual accomplishments contribute to an impressive collective display. Each hexagon features employee photography, award details and achievement dates, creating both individual celebration and authentic representation of the company's diverse talent pool.
The centerpiece "Connected in Culture" interactive map installation earned a prestigious Gold ADDY award for its innovative approach to showcasing employee diversity and shared experiences. Using designated thread colors, team members trace their journeys from birthplaces through residences to their connection with the organization, creating a visual tapestry of the paths that led each person to the company. This interactive element transforms personal stories into collective culture.
The comprehensive environmental design successfully created multiple award-winning branded experiences that employees take pride in and visitors immediately understand, demonstrating how strategic design drives measurable impact on organizational culture, engagement and retention.
